(More customer reviews)The good thing about Pop Secret kettle corn is that when I use the popcorn button on the microwave, every single kernel pops without burning.
Pop Secret kettle corn doesn't taste all that bad; but it has texture that's a little bit leaning toward carboard and I don't think they've captured the distinctive kettle corn flavor. It's also very greasy. I don't think of kettle corn as greasy. The ones at the county fair certainly are not.
The best microwavable kettle corn is the one the Boy Scouts used to sell. If only that company would bring it back. I'm still searching for a replacement.

Texture and consistency is a cross between rice cake, popcorn, and styrofoam packing peanuts, but good flavor and an all around nice snack and good alternative to chips or other high fat / high calorie type snacks. You get a lot of snack for the calories and I would buy again.

I ended up buying the Sour Cream & Chive, Parmesan & Garlic, Jalapeno and Barbeque. I wasnt sure which one I would like so I got a "sampler" order. I liked all the flavors to differing degrees but definitely preferred the Sour Cream & Chives. It was a perfect blend of seasonings and strength of flavor. If you are not sure which flavor seasoning to choose, I would recommend the Sour Cream.

(More customer reviews)I love bacon. I love the whole bacon experience, and I'm not ashamed to say it. I actually saw this product on another website and was just so curious that I had to shell out the money to buy it. I'm actually eating the popcorn as I type this and...well, it's tasty, but it doesn't really taste like bacon.
I was expecting this to fill my kitchen with the smell of cooking bacon while it rotated in the microwave, and it didn't. The smell was just sort of...weird. The taste itself is interesting, and certainly smoky, but if I didn't know this was supposed to be bacon I wouldn't be able to tell while eating it. It tastes almost like butter with smoked salt or something.
If you like popcorn, by all means try this, but don't expect to knock you over with the taste of real bacon. I guess it's vegan/vegetarian for a reason, hm?

My wife and I purchased this as an alternative to microwave popcorn when we heard about all the chemicals present that were in microwave popcorn. Very few unpopped kernels and excelent flavor. And yes the differnet colored popcorn tasted differnet and have a slightly different shade once popped (still white). We ordered the Presto 04820 PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper to pop the popcorn. This product is also very good. Our 2yr old daugher loves making popcorn this way because she can watch. The only drawback to this method - VERY NOISY. My wife and I cant make popcorn for our evening movie because this wakes our daughter up. But all things considered. It is worth it.

(More customer reviews)I have loved making Jiffy Pop since I was a kid and have since made it a point to share the fun with my own 2 children. It is getting almost impossible to find this stuff so I was really glad to find it here. I eagerly placed an order back at the end of July 2008.
My order arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. I was super excited to see so much yummy jiffy pop all in one box. Upon closer examination however, I realized that the expiration date was the first week of October 2008. My kids and I love Jiffy Pop but making/eating 24 servings in just a little over 2 months was going to be an impossible task! I ended up giving several of them away to friends and family before they became too stale to eat.
So the deal was great and I will likely try again but just be sure to ask about the expiration date before you order so you ensure that you get that great *fresh* Jiffy Pop taste!

We tried some of this on a whim from our local Costco once. It is amazing. Even though there is great care needed to pop it just the right amount of time (the sugary stuff burns quickly), it is so very, very worth it. As others have said, it's like the fresh kind made in a kettle. It's no sweet flavored popcorn, it actually has the sweet/salty coating on the popped kernels. Delicious. Much like others, I have bought and split a case with another family before. it was gone in a flash.
In my opinion, if you're going to try and eat healthy popcorn to stave off hunger of something, buy the "healthy choice" stuff or get a hot air popper. But if you want to truly ENJOY popcorn ... this is it.
